A few weeks ago I visited Nashville, TN for the day. One thing on my list was to visit Trader Joe’s. We don’t have one in Memphis. I didn’t have a written list, just a mental one. I have seen so many YouTube Trader Joe’s hauls I had a mental picture of some things I wanted to try.

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Rolls were on my mental list. Ironically they were the last item I put in my basket. I am not a fan of pumpkin. I have never even had a pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks, and I have no desire to try them. My grandmother always made sweet potato pies, never pumpkin. But, because they looked so good in all the YouTube videos and are vegan, I decided to give them a try.

You get 5 rolls and icing in the package. The package has instructions galore!! On the outside and two layers on the inside. If you can read, you can make these rolls. They started to smell delicious within 5 minutes of being in the oven. By time the oven timer went off I was already standing there, impatiently waiting. I allowed them to cool for 10 minutes and then drizzled the icing over them.

They are delicious!!! Fluffy, crispy, chewy and not too sweet all at the same time. Just the right amount of pumpkin spice. The icing package gives you just enough to cover each roll without drenching them. I ate two before I could exhale. I had to leave the house to keep from eating more. The 5 rolls lasted me 3 days only because I had to force myself not to eat them all at one time.
The next time I go to Trader Joe’s I will have a list. Pumpkin Roll will be at the top!

Yes! The package says “may contain traces of milk”. It was explained to me this means it was made in factory that uses milk, but no milk in the recipe. COOL!!!
