Minimalism: my bathroom journey

Last month I told you about my curiosity when it comes to minimalism.  Well, it’s becoming more clear that for my life right now, minimalism just may be my saving grace.  I started with my bedroom and have now moved into my bathroom.  Let me show you.

I just kept everything, everywhere.  No order, no organization.  Living like I have no common sense.  After reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, I changed they way I “style” my bathroom shelves.

Did you automatically relax from the first picture to this one?  I did!  And I relax every time I go into my bathroom now.  I freaking love that place!!  Just like I freaking love my bedroom.

I also decided to change the shower curtain and rug.  What I had before was not working for me.

Something else happened once I begin “tidying” my bathroom.  I began to appreciate it more.  I was always trying to figure out how to remodel it.  I could stand an upgrade, don’t get me wrong.  But I am really proud of it now and am not working on an upgrade for the space.  What I am working on is an upgrade on my attitude.  Becoming more grateful and appreciative.  Showing love and care for who I am and what I have.  There is real “magic” in “tidying up”!

xoxo,
