Using makeup sponges is one of my favorite ways to apply my makeup. I find that powders and liquid go on much smoother and have a flawless look with sponges. But how do you clean the sponges?! I tried to clean them how I clean my brushes and they were just not getting clean. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Blender Cleanser Solid from Sephora. The cost of this product is $16.00. It is a round bar of soap the come in a 1 oz. plastic container with a small pink disk. The disk has raised butterfly stenciled on it. This is designed to deep clean your brushes and sponges. Beauty Blender is a cruelty-free company and this product is vegan. My sponges came out clean and sanitized, but I feel that this product is a little over priced. It is a nice touch having the pink butterfly disk for a deeper clean. But, I do not plan on purchasing it again based on the price alone. I use Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap for my brushes. I recently saw that Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Bar Soap has a bar version of this soap. I will purchase that next time.
